My third solo show is here. It opens Saturday, August 4th at the m modern art gallery in Palm Springs.
But before my paintings are packed up and sent to Cali for a month long show, I want to give my Las Vegas supporters a chance to see the work. So on Tuesday, July 31st, Hips, Lips & Laserguns will be on top of the Palms Resort and Casino at the world famous Ghostbar.
m modern, the group responsible for the successful Downlow Art Show at the Hard Rock, are also putting their full support into the Ghostbar showing. For one night, we are turning the Ghostbar into an art gallery with a dance floor and 50 foot bar. The Las Vegas skyline will provide the perfect backdrop for the large canvases suspended in front of the glass walls. It will be the first time an art show has been done in a Las Vegas club the right way. No cheap easels here.
And one thing I've learned from doing art shows in my city is while Vegas likes art, it really loves to party. Instead of wine and smoked cheese, we'll drink shots and smoke cigarettes.
